The PEACH Affair

The main fundraising event for the Carlisle Area Dollars for Scholars is the PEACH Affair.  This annual event includes a dinner and both a silent and live auction.  This event has been very successful in raising scholarship money, because it brings together our community.  Guests return each year bringing with them family and friends to enjoy this fun filled evening.  Hundreds of people are involved in this event.  There are the guests who graciously support our cause, the board members who work year round on this event, but there are so many more behind the scenes.  For example, we cannot forget to mention all the community members who work the event or donate itmes for the auction.

Even our students get involved in the PEACH Affair.  More than 50 of our high school students along with many adults come together to prepare and serve the meail.  Our fifth grade students, under the guidance of local artist, Rosemary Fee, create stylized designs that relate to the theme which is put on display for the evening.

Recent attendees know that creativity runs deep in our community.  Volunteers contribute to the ambiance of the evening.  These volunteers create centerpieces that reflect the theme which are then sold to add to the scholarship fund.

There are many ways to be involved in the PEACH Affair.  The simplest way is to just attend and enjoy the evening.  The silent and live auctions contain something for everyone.  Traditional items donated include gift certificates, art work, themed baskets, jewelry, golf outings, and trips.  Some years we have even had a car!  If you would like to donate something for either the silent or live auction, or if you would like more information on other ways that you can become involved in the PEACH Affair, please contact us.

It is impressive to see our community come together each year and support this grand event.
